Fujifilm has officially launched the X-T30 III, the latest addition to its compact X Series mirrorless line. It keeps the classic center viewfinder design and lightweight 378 g body of its predecessor while introducing significant internal upgrades for faster, smarter performance.
At its core, the X-T30 III combines the proven 26.1-megapixel back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor with the X-Processor 5, the same generation engine found in Fujifilm’s flagship models. This pairing delivers roughly double the processing speed of the X-T30 II, improved power efficiency, and Fujifilm’s latest subject detection autofocus, capable of recognizing people, animals, birds, vehicles, and even drones.
Video performance takes a major step up as well. The X-T30 III records 6.2K/30P 4:2:2 10-bit internally, with additional support for 4K/60P and Full HD 240P slow motion. Electronic image stabilization has also been improved to reduce both small hand shake and larger motion when shooting handheld video.
The X-T30 III debuts Fujifilm’s new Film Simulation dial, first seen on the X-T50 and X-M5. It provides direct access to 20 Film Simulation modes, including REALA ACE for faithful color and Nostalgic Neg. for high saturation with soft gradation. The dial also features three customizable positions (FS1 - FS3) that allow users to store their own “FS recipes”, custom color and tone settings for quick recall.
Beyond the new processor and dial, the camera retains the approachable, tactile shooting experience the X-T series is known for. It includes a pop-up flash, an AUTO mode lever for simple point-and-shoot operation, and a 1.62-million-dot tilting touchscreen LCD. The ergonomic grip design has been refined for comfort, while maintaining a compact profile for travel and everyday carry.
Connectivity also improves, with wireless printing support for Fujifilm’s Instax Link series. The X-T30 III can now print directly to instax mini, SQUARE, and WIDE formats without needing a smartphone app.
The X-T30 III feels like a smart evolution rather than a full redesign. By keeping the beloved form factor of the X-T30 II and adding the X-Processor 5, faster AF, and a dedicated Film Simulation dial, Fujifilm has created a camera that bridges enthusiast and casual use beautifully. For photographers who value tactile controls, signature color, and portability, this release keeps the X-T30 series fresh and competitive in 2025’s mirrorless landscape.
