Today marks a big step for Sharply. After months of building, refining, and gathering input from early contributors, we’re opening the doors for anyone to explore the platform in open beta.

Sharply is designed to be a place where photographers can dig deep into gear, compare specifications side by side, and read thoughtful reviews written by trusted contributors. Beyond the technical details, it’s also a hub for news, guides, and insights that help you make better choices and stay connected with what’s happening in the world of photography.

From the very beginning we’ve brought together a select group of curators to help seed the platform with accurate data, reliable insights, and perspectives shaped by real-world use. Their work forms the foundation of Sharply, but it’s only the starting point. We believe the best resource is one built in collaboration, and this beta phase is where the community starts to shape what Sharply will become.

Open beta means the foundation is here, but we’re still actively improving. You may notice features shifting as we refine the experience, and your feedback will play an important role in deciding what comes next. Whether it’s a smoother comparison tool, better search, or new ways to highlight the gear you care about, this stage is about listening, learning, and building together.
